The Future of Work: Predictions & Priorities in Post-Pandemic Careers
Friday May 28, 2021
Friday May 28, 2021
Business Insider shared a post earlier this month that said, “A study from professional network app Blind shows employees prefer flexibility over a 30k raise."
Seeing that sparked a lot of thoughts amongst myself and the WGT community. Thoughts about: how work from home is a more commonplace conversation in workplaces now, that WFH is actually something that could be a non-negotiable for someone taking a job vs. years past when it may not have been, thoughts about what's really a priority for employees and employers, etc.
Last year has sparked some mindset shifts, and today, we're talking about what the experts say and some of my own predictions.
Today's episode is to help listeners become aware of some of these shifts and the opportunities that can arise from them, as well as an opportunity to assess your own career priorities.

PTO 101: How to Request Vacation Time (& Get It Approved!)
Friday May 21, 2021
Friday May 21, 2021
Vacation is all you’ve ever wanted, but how do you ask for it? I've seen a lot of memes and TikToks recently about PTO. A lot of them are to the effect of: "Me working on my day off to show my boss how dedicated I am."
I laugh because it's relatable. But WHY is it relatable?
Something so simple can bring a lot of stress. In today’s episode, we’re covering:
⭐️ How to ask for vacation time (and get it approved)
⭐️ How to prepare for your time off
⭐️ How to not work on your vacation time.
Even if this isn’t a current struggle of yours, there may be something new you haven’t thought of before.
